It's finally summer in southern california. This happens each year, yet every time we are taken by surprise when summer finally really arrives in August. Luckily, my office stays pretty cool, even when our workroom heats up, but my office mates (i.e. owners) aren't that crazy about canned cool air (they're european). Sometimes I just turn it on anyway and blame it on a hot flash.

Finally Friday.

It's been a stressful week. I've been on-call for jury duty all week, meaning, I've had to call in each evening after 7 pm to find out if I have to report the next day. Which means, everyday at work I've had to prepare as if I were not going to be there the next day. See? Stressful. That's only acceptable when a vacation is happening. Jury Duty = No Vacation.

I'm wearing something similar today; I love the simplicity of black and wear it often. Color is nice, but neutrals rule. 

Day Trip :: Annenberg Space

I've been dying to get over to the Annenberg Space for Photography to see their recent exhibit, Who Shot Rock & Roll. It's a photographic & behind the scenes look at iconic rock photographers and their subjects, including a short film. I can't wait. I'm wearing a similar outfit to what's shown below, minus the jacket, which is totally sick.

This is a very cute outfit, I think. I don't know if I could get away with the red pants, they seem like a beacon to me, but I prefer to blend into the background than shout out my presence. I do like the jacket, and it's a great price at $79. This is definitely a possibility.

Happy Bastille Day - luckily we no longer have to worry about a revolution. Luckily, we are inspired by beautiful Paris. I work for a French family, and am surrounded by this beauty everyday, even if it is just in language. Which is beautiful even when they argue. Which is often.
